OK, I know, if you don’t have your Galentine or Valentine’s Day cards made and sent, you are cutting it close, but don’t give up on this hand made card way to brighten a friend’s day.
This being said by someone who is still writing Christmas cards and using 2017 family photos. No joking, don’t you feel better about yourself?
Here are 3 quick ways to get a special card made for a friend.
Think of what your friend’s passions are.
Check your stamp stash for something that would personalize your card.
Can you guess what the person getting this Galentine’s Day card loves?
If you said, “Tacos,” you are probably right, because everyone loves tacos.
If you also said, “BIKING!” You would also be very right.
USE COLOR! RED and PINK are immediate Gal-, Pal-, or Valentine colors.
If you are using tacos, go heavy on the tomato.
Everyone loves to be told they are special, even little dudes.
I have a couple of special little dudes in my life who love cars, so while they may not like hearts and flowers, they would love a red or pink card with a note saying how glad I am to have them as friends.
When in doubt, go for flowers (and tacos).
A bright popping red card, with Black Shimmer pen center, and pink stem and leaves, with the precious word “friend” really gets the message across – friends are so important.
REMEMBER OTHERS, too!
Don’t have a Valentine?
There are lots of people who need your crafty hands and your kind heart. My Card Care Clinics have been designed to make cards for others who may not have much joy. Just receiving and being able to hold a hand made card may be the very thing that changes a day.
More details will be coming over the next few months as I keep refining the process.
So, to my FUNN friends, my “Gal-entines” and “Pal-entines”, I hope you will find this helpful. Now, off to your stash for images you can use, red and pink ink, cards, envies, and your address book.
Oh, and don’t forget the tacos.
How do I take my tacos? Seriously, very seriously.
