This Week’s Realization

Are the flowers and critters seen on vacation better than the flowers and critters at home? Maybe, flamingos are pretty cool, but so are cardinals! Maybe it is just a matter of how I look at them.

I used to go on vacation – it seems like a lifetime ago. But, one observation I used to make on vacation was how the flowers and critters seemed so special. What made me think that?
I think it was just because they were new to me.

So, what happens if I look at my own neighborhood with a vacationer’s eyes? I would see a huge maple tree that acts as a squirrel highway and apartment house (squirrels are pretty FUNNy, too). I would see birds that are a brilliant red, and loud blue birds with very ornate designed feathers. I’d see the remarkable changes in the season with awe – how do those leaves know how to turn colors, and so much more.

Craft Products

Does this happen when I look at new craft products compared to how I look at what I have?

I think so.

When I imagine someone coming into my craft room – how would they see my stamps and supplies? The fact that I have a craft room is remarkable!

What about new products, are they more special than the products I have? Maybe some of them, but maybe I just need to look at them with new eyes.

Maybe I have some products I’ve forgotten about, or maybe it is time to take a stamp set and use it for a different reason or season. Maybe I can think – hey, I can do that with what I have when I watch a video. Maybe I can look at my stash with fresh eyes? When I do, it might even seem like a little vacation. Frankly, I could use that, how ’bout you?

My StashBash continues – here’s my production chart.

FUNN University – should we have a Black Friday enrollment special?

No expenses this week. That is 11 weeks of using and not buying anything new, but mercy, there is a lot of cute temptation out there!

My Take Away So Far

Stash: still have plenty
Limiting Purchases: as odd as it may seem, I haven’t perished
Using What I Have: I really like not having the pressure of having to use something new, but getting more mileage from what I have.

Challenge yourself! Your challenge does not have to be the same as mine. Your challenge may be to finish a project plus a deadline, to sort through a pile of paper and give 10% away, to have a craft sale, or whatever it is that acts as a roadblock to your creativity and craft time.

Let us know in the comments and on I go! #StashBashChallenge.

Have a FUNN week.
