This Week’s Realization

This week’s realization is how little it takes in material and time to brighten someone’s day with a card and a note.

I watched a show on Gloria Estefan’s story on Red Table Talk last night. During the show, she mentions how much the cards she received meant to her during her horrific recovery from a broken back. She still has them! See what I mean?

Material – this card was made with leftovers and stuff I had laying around. Heck, the ribbon is probably 13 years old! It’s high time that it see purpose!
TIP: find some basic card designs you love, and make some cards using scraps of supplies.

CHALLENGE #2 – MAIL at least one card a week until the end of the year to someone who may be still isolating (I think isolation can be punishing to the human spirit), having lost a friend or family member, or someone you miss.
Pour a cup of coffee, think of a friend, make, then send them a card. They will love hearing from you.

Time – this card could be replicated in way less than 30 minutes. Try it – set your phone timer and make it happen (leave your time in the comments below).

Stamp it and mail it – postage for a card is still way less than a cup of coffee, even at McDonald’s!

Do you get my weekly FUNN mail?
I’ll be showing 2 other ways to re-create this card in tomorrow’s edition. Sign up is on the right side of this page.
While you are there, be sure to like, subscribe and follow me on my other social media platforms, too. TY!

No expenses this week. That is 10 weeks of using and not buying! I came really close, though!

My Take Away So Far

Stash: Didn’t make a dent in my supplies – again!
Limiting Purchases: I was super tempted by a 20% online coupon I had. Filled my cart and almost spent a bundle, but I didn’t. Know what? I don’t even remember what I was going to buy, so I sure don’t miss it!
Using What I Have: Still loving using my stash and not adding to the stash.

Challenge yourself! Your challenge does not have to be the same as mine. Your challenge may be to finish a project plus a deadline, to sort through a pile of paper and give 10% away, to have a craft sale, or whatever it is that acts as a roadblock to your creativity and craft time.

Let us know in the comments and on I go! #StashBashChallenge.

Have a FUNN week.
