Will we dissect this bright baby frog? I could never dissect this guy, he’d see me coming!

I’m talking about dissecting a card, silly! Because it is Use It Thursday!

All day Monday, I released tricks for making this card

Today, we are dissecting its sister card using the papers from Bats and Cats My Reflections Kit.
I’m using the same design with different papers.

This card is quite sleek and urbane, don’t you think? Want to learn how? Let’s start the dissection!

Use an A2 base, striped piece: .75″x5.5″; silver ombre piece: 3.5″x5.5″; the SILVER FOIL Paper (new product) is .25″x 5.5″.

The baker’s twine is from my stash (for years and years and years), sorry, you can’t have it.
Cut a piece about 11″ long. I looped it in 1/2 to find the center, then matched it to the center of the card.
You can just lay it out and call it good.

Attach JUST THE CENTER of the striped paper to the correct placement on the card (fold side).
Leave the edges un-adhered until the staples are in so you don’t get this look (below) on the inside of your card.

But, can we chat? If the worst thing that happens to you today is having the backs of staples show on the inside of your card? Really?
This is the very definition of “small stuff”; don’t sweat it.

After you get the stapling done, adhere the striped paper on both ends!

Now, let’s move on to the stamping FUNN!

Stamp Set: Close To My Heart September Stamp of the Month, Feel So Blessed.

The more I ink this set, the more I see its value. It is a winner! Front the great fonts, to the arched leaves and numbers in those cute circles, I like it!
The “There are so many beautiful reasons…” sentiment would make a fab layout tag title. Remember, we aren’t far away from November and the month of thanksgiving!

I embossed a circle using a stylus to help place my leaf stamps. It would have been better to use a pencil, but I would have come close to the allure of my computer. Then, I would have sat down. I would have opened FB (like I just did) and an hour would have passed.
FUNN TIPP: Use the tools within reach!

You can easily see the embossed line.

The cool thing about these leaves is they go two ways! I see no purpose to have a stamp set with identical stamps in them, do you?

I tried starting at either end and I don’t have a preference. If you start on the left side, you may want to mask your word at the on the right, so you don’t stamp on top of it.

This is the new Silver FOIL Paper – I stamped on it! It is slicker than snot to stamp on!
I used the Black Archival ink, then covered it with Clear Embossing Powder and heat set it.

I want to make your life easier – pre-trim these hearts before you do your detail cutting!
They do look good, don’t they?

I added some Silver Shimmer to the word “grateful”, and some gray ShinHan Marker to the leaves for a little added definition.
A couple of jewels to glitz it up a wee bit and I call it done.

Dissection wasn’t so bad, was it?
And I didn’t smell a single wiff of formaldehyde (I can still conjer up that wretched smell).

I’d love to see your version of this card if you try it!

It is Friday eve!

There is a “BASHFUL” version of this card which others really liked, too. See it on my Instagram and FB page.
