Pewter Embellishment Ideas that “stick”

It can be a little challenging to know what adhesive to use on things other than paper in our crafts.
Here are several designs and FUNN Tipps using  some of the beautiful Close To My Heart pewter embellishments and how I got them to stick!
I like to show a few FUNN ideas during our Dessert and Demo Moment at my FUNN Cropps.
Last weekend I showed ideas and a few FUNN Tipps on using the pewter embellishments they were given!
Here are the samples…
“Santa Baby” used two different embellishments. This card used the Pewter Filigree Charms (Z1269, $3.95) with a “diamond” on top! The Filigree Charms come with brads to make them “stick,” but I used Liquid Glass as the adhesive instead of the brad.
Notice the belt buckle? That is a Ribbon Slide (Z1460, $4.95) which really looks like a belt buckle. Since the larger piece of Roxie zebra B&T Duos paper did not fit well inside the slide without creasing and folding, I snipped a smaller piece of the same paper to slip over the center bar on the slide. The slip of paper worked very well for gluing down the slide, too, with simple paper to paper adhesive.
My  Dreamin’ card (love this set and it will be featured in my November Pajama Party classes) showed off another Ribbon Slide. This time I used real ribbon, instead of paper. FUNN Tipp: slide the ribbon back and forth a little to get the folds and creases to your liking. I used Glue Dots to anchor the ribbon and slide.
This card used the very FUNN Pin Clips (Z1612, $4.95) and Elemental papers. I used Liquid Glass to adhere the circle part of the clips to the Milepost Shapes corrugated stars. I really like the “ruby” in the centers! I tucked the ends under the Cocoa strip to keep from poking someone. These really are cute and can be used as holders, little surprise cuties sticking out from a cluster and more.
I hope you’ll try some of these FUNN Tipps and if you want to learn more ways to use your Close to My Heart products, be sure to check out my FUNN Cropps and FUNN Classes (live and on line).
